blue moon, eclipses and the end of the noughties

Firstly, the noughties
are finished
- in with
the "tens"! Did you go
out
with a bang?
We sincerely hope so,
as this is the
only way
to culminate
in the end
of a decade.
We also came
to have a blue moon
NYE, so I used blue
here. Did you know that
a
blue moon occurs
when there is a full
moon twice in a
calendar month.

But the moon was not blue either
though it was very much eclipsed (well very much partially). And this
morning, it set opposite as to where the sun rose. So, is this an omen
or what? "Blue" moon, eclipse, full moon and the end of a decade...

Therefore, just for the record, I took a few snaps of last nights'
event, amongst all the banging and exciting exultations:

vernal equinox and heavenly bodies:

Greetings to you out there!
With BST fast approaching (sounds like BSC -
I'd certainly give sour milk with these pointless
changing of the clocks - TAKE NOTE:
time is a concept to fit human grasp of an ever expanding universe that collapses into itself into the our feeble brains)
In any case: I managed to take two interesting
shots recently. One of the full moon through my
window, and the other. more by accident, must
have been Venus sporting a crescent! Well done,
old girl!
